Chiron and Mercury Retrograde

Your Daily Astrology

North Node and Chiron are together in the sky in Aries. Chiron is bringing up wounds and scars that need healing. Chiron in mythology was wounded by a poisoned arrow and because he was half mortal and half God, he could not die so he had to learn to live with pain. Chiron represents the places where we carry pain and how we deal with it. For most people that sort of pain can manifest as chronic physical pain or as the pain of loss. I recall a Ted Talk, I saw a couple of years ago, about a woman who lost her husband, her dad and her unborn child all within a month. She mentions how grief is not something that can be healed but instead is something that you must learn to live with. She learned to carry the pain and move forward in her life, similarly to the way Chiron learned to carry his pain. Chiron mastered his pain by becoming a great Healer and Teacher to Achilles, Jason, and Asclepius. North Node and Chiron are helping us transcend our past and rise into a brand new place of self-empowerment and self-mastery.

Mars in Pisces

This is not done by escapism or avoidance, its done through compassionate acceptance of what is. Rising above the waves of pain and suffering into a place of acceptance and wisdom. We learn to welcome every experience with an open heart and mind. We welcome all of life: the good and the bad and the ugly. We make peace with Life itself.

The planetary ruler of Chiron, North Node and Mercury is right now is in Pisces. Mars has been in the sign of Pisces since March 22nd and will stay in the sign until April 30th. Mars is in Pisces, teaching us to go with the flow of the current of life…to not fight or avoid the current but instead jump in, surrender and surf the waves. We are learning to swim. We are learning to navigate the energies before us. Mars in Pisces doesn’t rush the process instead it moves slowly and intuitively…just how we move through water…and takes action only when “it feels right.” Mars in Pisces teaches compassion, mercy and forgiveness.

However, Mars in Pisces is not direct. Avoids direct confrontation and dislikes conflict of any kind. It is important during this period to face things head on but with wisdom, patience and understanding. Mars in Pisces also invites us to use our creativity. It is a great time to make music, poetry, photography, dance and film. It is also a great time to deepen your spiritual connection to the Divine, meditate, practice self-care and enhance your intuition.

Mercury Retrograde

Mercury turns Retrograde on April 1st at 6:14pm EDT and will be retrograde until April 25th. Mercury has been in Aries since March 9th and will leave the sign on May 15th.  Mercury in Aries is assertive, knows what it wants and goes for it. However, right now it is retrograde. So it is a great time to slow down and take your time before taking action. Review. Revisit. Revise. Redo. Rebuild. Re-evaluate. Repair. Renew. Restart. This is a time of course correction. Look over your life what needs correcting? What needs to be re-assessed? Time to reflect and review our life directions, goals and pursuits. Think things through before taking action. Connect with your intuition and dreams.

Watch your words and deeds during this retrograde as Mercury in Aries can be harsh, direct, impatient, argumentative, impulsive and quick to anger. Let the healing waters of Mars in Pisces teach you to go with the flow, surrender and let go, practice forgiveness and mercy, and engage in creativity. People, places and things from your past may resurface. Notice what shows up for you. Listen to your heart. Stay in your wisdom. The second time around brings clarity and growth.

This Mercury Retrograde will be most felt by the Cardinal (Aries, Libra, Cancer, Capricorn) and Mutable Signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces). So place close attention to any placements in your Natal Chart in these signs. If you would like a personal reading, check our my website http://www.anamariapineda.com
